Such a wonderful website! Your ways of designing it are very confident and informative, I assume it happened with experience after a big amount of iterations. Will add your button to my button list!

ty! i figured it out pretty quick. small issue, the content doesnt line up with the button? what's your fluxer or discord, i feel bad clogging up your guestbook with needing help.

Replied on: July 31, 2026 at 10:56:28 PM

looks like it could be the width of the content element? i haven't had much time to look at it in depth but it could be fixed by just manually setting the width to 100% or something of the sort. also you can reach me at sphxremint (discord)/sphxremint#0007 (fluxer) ! :>

asking for coding help again July 30, 2026 at 6:32:39 PM

i love the seven chaos traits on your about page, and i want to use the same dropdown thing for my site! only issue is i've only seen it done in bootsrap, which i don't know. i obviously had a snoop around your code to try and figure it out but that only confused me more. is it pure html? i didn't see any javascript in there. i'm so lost. any help would be so appreciated. - notebook guy.

Replied on: July 31, 2026 at 1:38:31 AM

it pulls from my allaround js script i use, which has a function for handling collapsibles. it's just a modified version of a tutorial script i got from w3schools (https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_collapsible.asp), so—to answer your question—it's not completely pure html! but, i do know that it's possible to do something similar in pure html using <details> elements; those are also pretty useful :> oh and you can always reach me thru discord/fluxer if you need to ! i know this reply was very late so if you have any other options you can always lmk :D

ty! is that what you named the pages? ("notebook/index.html", et c.)

Replied on: February 9, 2026 at 5:04:49 PM

that's actually the path in the site directory! "notebook/index.html" is the path to the page that lists all the entries, while "notebook/[page title here]/index.html" is the path to entries themselves. [page title here] is usually the name of the entries in the format l YYYYMMDD (e.g. 20260209)

how do you do the thing in your notebook where the page is like inside the main notebook page because its so confusing

Replied on: February 9, 2026 at 3:17:11 PM

i think i understand this question... all the notebook pages are individually listed on the main notebook page ( "/notebook/index.html" ) using a bunch of <div> and <a> elements, which i stylized to look like cards. each time i make a new page, i go in and manually link it on that list. same thing goes for all the individual pages ( "/notebook/[ page title here ]/index.html" ) ; the "prev" and "next" entry are just static links i have to manually set... because i haven't found a better method yet LOL
